DIFFERENT SHADES OF GREY

Well, this has been a long time coming!  I am excited for the opportunity to share my work with you and hope to work with some of you soon!

 

For as long as I can remember I have enjoyed taking photographs. My friends and family can attest to that! My dream was to be a Photo Journalist and News Writer and travel the world. I attended The University of Akron and studied Mass Media Communication Radio/TV and Professional Photography. While in the dark room at Folk Hall, I realized I had a real passion for photography. There was something about taking a photograph and really going through the entire development process that made me feel a real connection to my work. I feel that these days we lose the beauty in the complexities of some things because we live in such an instantaneous world.

 

Although I may not be living my exact dream, I have accomplished much throughout my life that I am extremely proud of. I realize now, that I can still have a share of my dream although on a slightly smaller scale. I hope to share my passion with others while capturing their special moments that tell their life's stories.

 

Over the years I have met so many amazing people and already been blessed with some wonderful opportunities. I would like to thank all of those who have mentored me, supported me and believed in me. Your critiques (sometimes brutally honest) and love have made me stronger. I appreciate everything you have done for me. With your help, I have been able to sharpen my photo skills and utilize my art and design abilities as well. It is very cool when you can do something you enjoy as a job and it doesn't feel like a burden.

 

I look forward to continuing on this journey and can't wait to see where these new adventures lead!
